Excelsius Academy August Academic Contest Results
The annual Spelling Bee and  Math Jeopardy contests on August 13th and August 14th, brought together over 200 students from our two locations, competing for first and second prizes, with the grand prize worth $100 for each subject.  Students and parents alike were present bright and early and filled up the hall with happy noise and excitement.

Also this year, the first ever introduced Vocabulary Star contest was held for students grades 7 to 12th, competing on the definition of new vocabulary words.  Students were given the opportunity to study a vocabulary list of over 2000 new words, many of these are of college level.  The purpose is to increase their understanding and retention of  words that will be useful for the SAT test and in all future English essays.
